HISTORY
Music
in the Vale originated in 1985 in the format of free concerts to allow
locals to display their various talents.
In 1992 the Vale Council approached the Committee with a request to organise an annual musical competition for the youth of the Vale which was to embrace both singers and instrumentalists. It has evolved to its present format as a competition of significant standing over the years since then.
